Eventus Integrated wins Rs 10-cr BTL businesses in few months

Eventus Integrated, a below-the-line (BTL) agency has acquired business worth Rs 10 crore, across the country in the past few months. Some of the new clients on the roster are HDFC Bank, ITC Classmate, TVS Tyres, VSNL's Global Calling Card, Solae from DuPont, SOS, Arisia Diamonds from Diamond Trading Company, Grundfos Pumps and Acer Altos Servers.

The agency won the entire BTL business of HDFC Bank earlier this year. Says Vinod Nair, CEO, Eventus Integrated, "From driving quality traffic to almost a new branch a day, to driving acquisitions for their current account, savings account, NRI account to increasing spends on its credit/debit cards, we are constantly providing creative solutions to our clients to meet their stiff targets."

He further adds, “One such initiative was an NRI event, ‘Gulf of Joy 2004’ at Kochi. We wanted to leverage the annual homecoming traffic of the Gulf NRIs by creating a focused forum of interaction between the high-networth consumers of Kerala and products and services through various touch-points, the exhibition itself being one of them. Apart from quality walk-ins and the database generated thereof, HDFC Bank was seen as a serious player in the NRI banking segment which is dominated by State Bank of Travancore, Federal Bank, etc so far."

Another upcoming initiative for this year from Eventus will be the ITC Classmate Young Author Contest. The Classmate Young Author Contest 2004 (CYAC 2004) was initiated by ITC Ltd last year to provide a platform for budding writers among students to showcase their talent and an opportunity to develop it through interaction with some of the country's leading literary icons.

As Shyam Sunder, General Manager, Eventus India, puts it, "We won it in a multi-agency pitch primarily due to our strategic recommendations in broadbasing the talent search itself by including other creative aptitudes beyond just story writing and to scale up this year to be able to reach out to a much larger school-base and thereby audience. Additionally, our network of six offices and IT-driven operations and reporting systems clinched this prestigious win for us".

The Classmate Young Author Contest, in association with Rupa & Co - India's one of the leading publishing houses, will be conducted in Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Kochi, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Chandigarh, Pune and Lucknow from September-December 2004. The competition, open to students from Class IX to XII, is expected to see a participation of 2,000 schools covering 40,000 children. Well-known author Ruskin Bond will head the national jury panel.

Apart from these wins, the agency is also planning a series of its own properties in the coming months. "We wish to continue to leverage our strengths in creating and launching properties which will allow consumers to experience brands in a unique and memorable manner" says Sunder. Eventus Integrated have a repertoire of properties like TVS Suzuki Pot Pourri, Edward De Bono seminars, Frooti Cup, Citibank Propshop, TVS Fiero Challenge, Medimix Silambatam Competitions, Johnson’s Baby Bouncing Babies, Mumbai and more recently, HDFC Bank Gulf of Joy, Kochi 2004.
