ETC Networks Ltd. announces its 2nd year results

ETC Networks Limited has registered a profit before tax and exceptional items of Rs.111 Lakhs for the year ended 31 March 2002 on a turnover of Rs.3133 Lakhs.

Zee Telefilms had acquired the promoter’s interest in ETC Networks Ltd from the present promoters and ETC has allotted 22,20,812 equity shares at price of Rs.31.52 to Zee Telefilms Ltd. Consequently Zee will be holding more then 51% of the expanded capital of the company.

In the past two years as a listed company ETC Networks Ltd has its leadership in music and Punjabi segments. By conceptualizing and producing new age and cost effective programming etc has proved its connectivity with its viewers and advertisers. To improve and improvise on this reach etc has gone more interactive by actually implementing convergence in its day-to-day dealing. To have regular interaction with the viewers etc has adopted SMS no. 303 with a very wide cellular subscriber base by forming an alliance with mobile operators of Escotel, Spice, BPL Mobile, Command and OASIS. This means that etc is covering the states of UP, Uttaranchal, Haryana, Rajesthan, Kerela, Kolkatta, Delhi, Punjab and Mumbai with one number, while normally any such interactive exercise via SMS is restricted to only one service provider.
