A total of 21 case studies were presented on the second day of Envies 2007. Lenova, Nike, Sprite, State Bank of India, Whirlpool, Sunsilk, Nerolac impressions, Kathotsava and Listerine were some of the interesting case studies that were presented.
Best Media Strategy-Consumer Durables, Services and Media Property; Best Media Innovation-Digital, Direct Marketing, Events and Out-of-Home were categories under which all case studies were presented.
Mindshare presented a few case studies like those of Listerine, Sunsilk, Lenova and Football World Cup, while Madison presented on Safola, Mc Donalds, Sprite and Whisper Choice. JWT presented on Indian Railways while O&M presented some interesting case studies like those of State Bank of India and Kathostsava. Lodestar, too, presented some case studies like Sunsilk, Nerolac Paints and Nerolac Impressions.
‘Listerine-Now playing in your Yahoo! Messenger’, presented by Mindshare was an interesting case study that portrayed how the agency used audibles in Yahoo! Messenger to get the message across, especially among the youth. Another interesting case study was that of Kathosava by O&M. They used a puppet show to get the message across to the audience that story telling needs to be saved for the children. SBI Rural Activation had a villager as a tool to communicate their mindset and behaviour.
The event ended with guest presenter Mike Wilson, Managing Partner, Naked Communications, giving his views on the contemporary communication, by giving an analogy between communication and advertising industry, and architecture.
