EMM International, one of the four global media auditors, is launching Indraksh EMM India Pvt Ltd (EMM India) in Mumbai and New Delhi next week. The company will serve international advertisers and local advertisers operating in India, and offer the same services for Indian advertisers who need media help in the markets they are exporting to.
In India, the company is moving from an ‘ad hoc’ service to a full time service to satisfy client demand. It makes EMM the first global media management company and auditing consultancy to launch in India.
EMM has completed several ad hoc assignments in India during the last nine years. EMM INDIA is a partnership between EMM International, based in London, and Indraksh Media & Management Services (IMM), Mumbai.
Stephen White, EMM International’s founder, is also Chairman of EMM India. Yuvraj Agarwal has been roped in as CEO of Indraksh EMM India Pvt Ltd.
EMM India will offer core services in areas such as Media Performance Evaluation, Media Agency Contract Reviews, Improving Client Media Process, Auditing Contractual Deliverables, Media Planning and Strategy Benchmarking, Clarification of Volume Rebates from the Media, Media Agency Pitch Management and Media Performance Incentive Programmes.
The Indian Media and Entertainment industry is one of the most dynamic in the world, with growth of 11% in 2010 (Source: KPMG). This is accelerating year on year and the market which is currently valued at Rs 562 billion is projected to reach Rs 1,275 billion by 2015 (Source: KPMG).
It is characterised by increasing fragmentation, which presents a specific set of challenges for advertisers and media owners alike. There are currently over 400 TV channels alone. There is currently only one Media Auditor operating in the entire continent.
