The recently released exchange4media Indian Media Agency Report that gauges the performance of media service brands in India on the basis of their annual billing figures and also on their industry perception, measured agencies on their buying function.
Media giant GroupM led this list with a significant margin. As is known, in the Indian media agency scenario, GroupM consolidates the buying function of its agencies Mindshare, Maxus, Mediaedge:cia and Motivator. Madison Media comes in next, followed by the Lintas Media Group.
The Indian Media Exchange (IMX) that combines the buying for ZenithOptimedia and Starcom MediaVest Group takes the No. 4 spot, while Lodestar Universal is in the fifth position.
Next in the list is Mudra Max that houses brands like Mudra Connext and RADAR. Rediffusion Group’s TME takes the seventh spot amongst top buying agencies and Havas Media that has media service brands like MPG is on the eighth position.
Media Direction from the RK Swamy BBDO group is in the ninth spot and OMD India takes up the 10th position.
The agencies were measured for the calendar year 2008 across the measured media of print, television and radio for the top 500 product/ advertiser categories.
Details on the estimated billing figures of each of these companies and more information of the break-up of the advertiser category for each agency is also included in the exchange4media Indian Media Agency Report. This is the first edition of this annual initiative.
