BARC’s Top 10 Brands list under their Across Genres chart for the week 50 (December 10-16) saw the surprise entry of two government players, Director of Income Tax and Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana claiming sixth and tenth position respectively.
In the top 10 Advertisers list, FMCG firms Hindustan Lever and Patanjali Ayurved have reinstated their top two spots with 62,655 insertions and 23,430 insertions respectively. In the previous week BARC added the TOP 10 advertisers category.
Coming to the top 10 brands, Airtel Cellular Phone Service maintained the top spot with 15,007 insertions followed by Idea 4G with 10,290 insertions. Dettol Liquid Soap resurfaced claiming the third spot with 8993 insertions.
Apart from Director of Income Tax and Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, Sahara India Life Insurance is the other new player which took the fourth spot with 8694 insertions. Director of Income Tax and Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana put in 8037 and 6090 insertions respectively.
Ministry of Information and Broadcast maintained its fifth spot with 8347 insertions. Dominos Quattro Formaggi Burst slipped to seventh spot with 7583 insertions.
Chinese handset makers Vivo and Gionee witnessed a similar scenario where their respective products V5 and S6 S/S6 dropped to eighth and ninth spot with 7367 and 6386 insertions respectively.
In the top 10 Advertisers list, Reckitt Benckiser India Ltd entered the list taking the third spot with 18931 insertions. Bharti Airtel and Brooke Bond Lipton India slipped to fourth and fifth spot with 16087 and 13,775 insertions respectively. Ponds India moved to sixth spot with 13443 insertions. Marico, Smithkline Beecham and Super Cassettes Industries entered the list at eighth and ninth spot garnering 12,340 and 12,324 insertions respectively. While Idea Cellular dropped to 10th spot with 10,290 insertions.
