Diageo India Pvt Ltd, maker of well-known alcoholic drinks brands, has called for a BTL (below the line) pitch for its vodka brand, Smirnoff, in India. The pitch, which was called in the first week of July 2010, aims to choose a BTL agency that can carry activation tasks for the brand on a pan India basis, according to senior sources in the industry.
The activities will be limited to pubs in India and the business is on ‘pick and drop’ terms, wherein the agency pitching for the business has to present the rate card to the client.
Smirnoff officials were not available for comments at the time of filing this report.
Trading in approximately 180 markets, Diageo has brands like Johnnie Walker, Smirnoff, Guinness, and Baileys liquor, among others. The company has offices in 80 countries, including Great Britain, Ireland, the US, Canada, Spain, Italy, Africa, Latin America, Australia, India and the Caribbean.
