Mobile payment/commerce solutions company, Paymate India Pvt Ltd, is in the final stages of selecting its creative agency. Dentsu, McCann Erickson and Lowe have been shortlisted for the account and a final decision is expected in the next few days.
exchange4media had earlier reported that around 5-8 agencies had pitched for the account, including McCann Erickson, Dentsu, Mudra, TBWA, and Euro RSCG, among others. Paymate India is likely to spend around Rs 12-15 crore for its above the line and below the line activities.
The company expects its creative agency to come out with an integrated communication plan and execute the same with a view to build awareness on the concept of making payments through mobiles. The company also expects its creative agency (whichever comes on board) to create awareness around the brand and facilitate activation of both merchants and consumers to be part of this new trend.
Meanwhile, Paymate is also scouting for a media agency for which the pitch would be called in January 2007. The company’s search for a specialised online media agency will also culminate in January. So far, two agencies have made their presentations for the online media account.
Once the company finalises its creative and media agencies, including the specialised online media agency, the next step for Paymate would be to explore the possibility of having a media audit firm on board. The company is also in talks with online publishers.
