Dentsu Marcom bags Rs 10-cr Oceanic Consultants account

Dentsu Marcom has been assigned the Oceanic Consultants account worth Rs 10 crore. The business will be handled from Delhi. Oceanic Consultants specialises in student advisory services for higher education in Australia, New Zealand and the UK. Oceanic provides guidance and help to Indian students intending to study abroad and provide end-to-end support to students and parents.

Commenting on the development, Naresh Gulati, CEO of the OCA Group, of which Oceanic is a part, said, “With growing competition, we had a tedious task of getting noticed in a highly cluttered market. It was then that we decided to hire Dentsu to help us achieve our objective of building a national brand. Dentsu has certainly helped us re-brand our organisation and get noticed in the market through highly creative communication methodology. We are looking forward to having a long and fruitful relationship with Dentsu on the Oceanic brand.”

Sharing it exclusively with exchange4media, Ashish Dabral, COO, Dentsu Marcom, said, “Education is a major segment today for communication. Our job for Oceanic is to reiterate and re-emphasise their expertise, knowledge and widths of services that are sure to help intending students make a more informed choice of destination and course.”

Indian students studying abroad are today a significant business segment. Last year, India overtook China at the campuses in the US as the single most important country of overseas students origin. Estimates put the current consolidated value of overseas education ex-India to be in the vicinity of $1 billion annually.

The other accounts in Dentsu Marcom’s kitty include Honda, Canon, Raymond, ICICIDirect, Thomas Cook, Jaypee Group, and Grey Cell 18, among many others.
