Dentsu Marcom Ahmedabad bags Cera Sanitaryware account

Dentsu Marcom Ahmedabad has been assigned the creative and media duties of Gujarat-based sanitaryware brand Cera. The size of the business is in the region of Rs 6-7 crore.

Commenting on the account win, Shrinivas R Bhat, Advisor to the Chairman of Dentsu India, said, “Cera is a pioneer in the sanitaryware business in India. It has been a trendsetter brand and we are proud to be associated with taking Cera to the consumer of the future.”

The new Cera campaign would run in trade magazines as well as general interest media. “Bathrooms are today engagingly beautiful and proud houseowners spend a lot of time and energy in figuring out what is best for them. Cera as a brand provides both aesthetic beauty and a lot of technology innovation. We at Dentsu Marcom have been charged with the responsibility of presenting the winning edge of Cera to both the trade and to the consumer,” said Adrian Mendonza, Executive Creative Director, Dentsu Marcom.

The first sanitaryware company to use natural gas, Cera has been on the forefront of launching a versatile colour range and introducing the bath suite concept. It also launched innovative designs and water-saving products. The twin-flush model launched in India by Cera for the first time, reduces the water needs of households considerably. To achieve growth in the rapidly changing retail market in the country, Cera has launched its one-of-a-kind Cera Bath Studios in Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Kolkata, Cochin and Hyderabad.

“We chose Dentsu for two reasons. First, we felt that it can think very differently while being creative. The work shown during the initial pitch was very innovative yet creative. And secondly, the whole team is very friendly and we felt very comfortable dealing with them. And finally, there was the Shrini factor, which gave us confidence that we would be serviced well,” explained Santosh Nema, COO, Cera.

Dentsu Marcom Ahmedabad is a year-old operation. Dentsu handles Rasna and Adani Group from Ahmedabad. The agency is also handling the current campaign for the Mundra Port SEZ.
