Dentsu Creative Impact bags creative duties of Maruti Suzuki’s Eeco

Denstu Creative Impact has bagged creative mandate for Maruti Suzuki’s newest MPV (multi purpose vehicle) Eeco following a multi-agency pitch of Maruti roster agencies. The car has been launched at the Delhi Auto Expo that concludes on January 11, 2010. Shashank Srivastava, Chief General Manager Marketing, Maruti Suzuki, has confirmed the account size to be in the region of Rs 25-30 crore. The media duties are being handled by Lintas Media Group.

The multi-agency pitch had taken place involving roaster agencies like Capital, Dentsu Creative Impact, Percept Hakuhodo and Lowe Lintas, and involved three rounds of presentations.

On selecting Dentsu Creative Impact, Srivastava said, “The reason we gave the creative duties to Dentsu Creative Impact was because their capabilities and ideas were really different from others in the presentation.”

He further said, “It is a 360 degree account comprising print, TVC, OOH and the Internet. The print ad has already broken. The TV ad is slated to break next week.”

The Eeco is available in five-seater and seven-seater options. The new MPV is priced at Rs 2.59 lakh for the standard five-seater version, Rs 2.89 lakh for the AC version and Rs 2.71 lakh for the standard seven-seater version (all ex-showroom Delhi).
