Dentsu Communications to handle creative duties of Acer

Dentsu Communications, Bangalore, has won the creative mandate for Acer India following a multi-agency pitch. Sources inform that the other three agencies in the fray were Orchard, Contract and Rediffusion DY&R. The media duties continue to be with Madison India. The reported size of the business is Rs 20 crore. The incumbent on the business is Orchard Advertising.

Neither Acer officials nor the agency offered any comments at the time of filing the story. However, sources familiar with the development inform that the move took place some time ago and it is learnt that the new creatives featuring Hrithik Roshan have also broken in a few markets already.

Acer India (Pvt) Ltd was incorporated as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Acer Computer International Ltd on September 9, 1999. Acer India has its headquarters in Bangalore, with branch offices in New Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Pune, Nagpur, Cochin, Guwahati and Chandigarh.
