Dentsu Communications launches Chennai operations

Dentsu Communications has announced the formal launch of its Chennai operations. The operation is a full-service agency with people and resources being ramped up in sync with growing business.

“We are delighted to be in Chennai,” said Ruchira Raina, Executive Director, Dentsu Communications. “Chennai is home to a large number of well-respected brands and we hope to work with some of them very soon.”

Dentsu Communications already handles Amrutanjan from Chennai. “We are pro-actively looking at some global business here in Chennai. And we have been part of some multi-agency presentations in the past few weeks. So, we are already in the thick of things,” she said.

An office head will be announced soon. “We have met some good industry people and will make a final choice soon. The candidate could well be an internal one,” informed Raina, adding, “The balance resources are well in place and we are happy about how things have fallen in place in the last few months.”

“We are one of the few national agencies to have such a strong South presence. Between Bangalore and Chennai, our regional resources would now be amongst the best in the industry,” asserted Raina.

Dentsu Communications is headquartered in Bangalore where it started operations in October 2003. Dentsu Communications’ client list includes Toyota, Yamaha, Casio, Blaupunkt, i-Mate, Radico, BPTP, Nitesh Builders, and Nissin Foods, among others.
