Deepa Kakkar to join RK Swamy BBDO

Deepa Kakkar is joining R K Swamy BBDO Advertising, Mumbai, as Executive National Creative Director. She was earlier Vice-President and Executive Creative Director at JWT, where she worked for 12 years.

Deepa Kakkar had quit HTA in mid-August this year, where she had been vice-president and executive creative director. At the time of her departure from HTA, Deepa was seen as the most likely person to succeed Ivan Arthur to the post of national creative director.

According to agency sources Deepa’s strength lies in her brand building skills and her ability to muster and motivate a good team. Her work has won a number of international awards, among others, at the New York Festivals, Pegasus and the Creativity Annual, USA.

She has worked on diverse brands including De Beers, Godrej refrigerators, Brooke Bond Red Label, Pears, Close-up, VIP luggage, Philips, Pepsi, Smirnoff, Sunsilk, Lux, Rin, Taj Mahal Tea, Standard Chartered, Kodak, Ceat, Halls, Star TV, Air-India, Hindustan Petroleum, Tata AIG insurance and Good Knight.


Kranti Gada joined the family business at Shemaroo in 2006 after a successful stint of over two years in marketing at Pepsi Co. She has been associated with the company for 12 years.
