DDB Mudra, Leo Burnett & McCann lead India haul at Adfest

India brought home three more Silvers on the concluding day of 15th Asia Pacific Advertising Festival, commonly known as Adfest, held in Pattaya, Thailand. While Creativeland Asia, Ogilvy & Mather have won a Silver metal each for the entries for Bajaj and Hippo, Happy Creative Services has won a Silver Campaign for its campaign on Flipkart.com in the Film Lotus category.

Amongst other categories announced, No entry from India won any metal in the Radio Lotus category. Leo Burnett’s ‘Gandhifont’ managed to secure a finalist place in 360 Lotus while Ogilvy & Mather’s ‘Chanting Lighter’ campaign for Cancer Patients AID Association was a finalist in Lotus Roots.

In the special awards, Advertising Agency of the Year award has been given to Dentsu Tokyo while Advertiser of the Year went to Google. DDB has been declared as the Network Agency of the Year.

With awards declared in all the categories, DDB Mudra emerges as the winner from India with nine metals in total including three Silvers and six Bronzes. Leo Burnett follows with six metals including one Gold, one Silver and four Bronzes.

McCann Erickson is at the third position with five metals including one Gold and four Silvers. Both, Ogilvy & Mather and Grey have a Silver and a Bronze in its kitty. Creativeland Asia and Happy Creative Services have won a Silver each while DraftFCB Ulka has brought home a Bronze.

Indian score at AdFest 2012 is 27 Metals that include 2 Golds, 12 Silvers and 13 Bronzes.

The group released the Little Hearts online-only campaign, #BreakSomeHearts, early this year and is on the path to make many more of its brands available on the digital platform
