Impact One-on-One speaker David Verklin, Chairman of Carat Asia and CEO of Carat Americas, is out to enthral the marketing, media and advertising fraternity on Thursday, when he gives a special talk on ‘What’s your favourite future?’
The event will be held at Taj Lands End in Mumbai, will have the dynamic speaker ask the intriguing question. “What is your favourite future? That might sound like an odd question, but it’s one that we need to seriously consider in the advertising business. Do you believe that the future of the advertising industry is preordained at this moment? Or, is the future of advertising one that we can influence? Is it one that we can drive, is it one that maybe we can even determine? Said another way, is the cement of the advertising business still wet?” are some pertinent questions that he will raise.
Looking at the crystal ball, Verklin says, “We are about to see the collision of brand advertising, direct marketing, data analytics, and technology deployed with a purpose. We are about to see a future with communications planning at its core, with advertising being placed in front of the interested with incredible speeds to market. This is my favourite future and for all of you worried about the future, I think about this if your business is making 30-second television commercials.”
