Creative agencies make a beeline for IT-empowered Hyderabad

Having taken over IT, the ‘Nawab land’ is now all set to see some creativity flow in from all over the country. In the recent past, a number of agencies have opened shop here and even though small in stature, these agencies are aiming to provide complete creative solutions to brands in Hyderabad.

Bangalore’s Identity, Kolkata’s Enigma and Chennai’s Corporate Media Men are the most recent ones to seek Hyderabad and show off some creativity. The primary reason for most agencies shifting focus to Hyderabad is the fact that the city has recently seen a number of big names enter the market and set shop here. These not only include IT giants, but also players in the pharma and biotech sectors.

Captain Ahmed, Branch Head, CMM (Corporate Media Men), explained, “Hyderabad is growing very fast with major IT giants, BPOs, pharma and biotech companies as well as a number of retail players coming here. Hyderabad is certainly the place to be today. This is the place where things are happening. It’s something like what Bangalore was a few years ago.”

Opened only as recently as July 1, 2005, CMM has already managed to rope in varied clients like Sony India - Consumer Durables, La Belle Slimming and Skin Clinic, Dhanalaxmi Iron Industries, Reliance Constructions and MindKraft Inc.

Ahmed added, “We have already started on a very good note. Within one month, big names of Hyderabad are in our kitty. That shows that we have a pretty prosperous future over here.”

Similarly, Identity, which opened shop in Bangalore six years ago, is seeing great potential in the Hyderabad market. Said Gayatri, Managing Partner, Identity, “I think Hyderabad, like Bangalore, in course of time will require sound planning, strategy and excellent creative execution.”

According to her, Hyderabad ranked after Bangalore in terms of potential. She further said that Identity had already roped in clients like Dell, Satyam Computers, Applabs Technologies, and iLabs among others.

Not to be left behind, Kolkata’s Enigma has also set up operations in Hyderabad. Thought the agency currently has only one client in Hyderabad, it is confident about roping in a few more soon.

Most of these agencies offer creative identities to companies with designing expertise in logos, corporate stationary, direct mailers and company brochures, matching the requirements of companies that need to first gain visibility and acceptance on a corporate level within the trade and amongst the consumers.

However, all these agencies believe that they are completely equipped to start brand communication on a more mass level as soon as the companies are ready. Taking the lead, Identity has already completed a film for Satyam, which is scheduled to go on air soon.

In all, Hyderabad is budding with potential, and with creative agencies that are promising in their work and have dedicated and extremely experienced team working for them.
