Crayons Communications Dubai on an account winning spree

Crayons Communication Dubai, the 100 per cent subsidiary of Crayons Advertising, has added a number of creative accounts to its kitty in the past two months. These include Fujitsu Plasmavision, Super Anti-Septic Disinfectant, Continental Coffee, UAE Wallet and BabyShop.

Commenting on the account wins, Crayons Communication, Agency Head, Arshad Zaheer, said, “I am really happy that the agency has done so well in a short span of seven months. We handle brands from categories as diverse as consumer electronics, FMCG, property, services, retail, etc.”

“BabyShop is the largest retail store for children. The account is worth $1 million. Crayons is handling the Child Safety campaign as part of the store’s corporate social responsibility programme,” Zaheer said.

“Another account that we are handling is Fujitsu Plasmavision, a premium plasma TV manufacturer. Crayons handled the launch of its plasma TVs in the UAE via print ads, which were directly approved by Japan. The account size is $1.5 million. Our main criteria is getting into the niche and the popular segments. We are currently doing print ads for the company as it gives more noticeability here. We will also be doing TVCs in the future,” he added.

Crayons is involved in the repositioning exercise of Continental Coffee, a German coffee brand. The account is worth $2 million. “We are targeting the Asian population. We have made a film for them, which will be released in all the channels in the UAE. We have also done packaging and communication for them. We are launching the coffee whiteners for them,” Zaheer said.

Another account in the agency’s kitty is that of Super Anti-Septic Disinfectant, a British brand, which has been in the market for 20 years. Crayons is involved in repositioning the brand, beginning with its packaging to creating a new TVC. The account size is pegged at $1.5 million.

UAE Exchange of Western Union is another new win for Crayons. The account is worth $2 million. UAE Wallet is money transfer service, which is a big thing in the UAE. The new feature facilitates money transfers via the mobile phone. “UAE Exchange Centre is a foreign exchange and funds transfer/remittances company. We are doing print ads for them,” Zaheer said.

“We hope to close this year with $8 million. We have a fantastic creative team headed by Creative Director Jennifer Fernandes. The agency is turning out to be a creative hot shop,” he added.

Crayons Communication was started in August 2005 and is headed by Arshad Zaheer. The other clients handled by the agency include Riverside Real Estate property brand in Dubai, processed food brand Neo Care, Creative MP3 players, and Mather Constructions among others.
