Close on the heels of winning the Jindal Industries account, Contract Advertising has now bagged the creative mandate for GISIL, one of the leaders in technology, platforms and devices. The size of the business is estimated to be in the region of Rs 5 crore.

GISIL empowers retail merchants to offer the flexibility of providing online shopping experience to consumers. The company is gearing up to launch a brand in the consumer space and would be leveraging and building a network of banks, telcos, retail merchants. GISIL proposes to be an online supplier of goods and services.

Contract has been entrusted with handling the new brand, which is slated for launch in January 2007. The name of the brand has not been decided yet.

The pitch process, which took place in October, saw three agencies vying for the account – Contract, Lowe and McCann Erickson.

Vishal Ahluwalia, VP, Client Servicing, Contract, said, “We ended up bagging the account because we were able to understand the brand and showcase strategically and creatively the power of the brand in a focused and holistic manner. We not only restricted ourselves to above the line communication, but showcased the strength of the brand across various forms of communication.”

The communication strategy for the brand would be on leveraging every touch point within the consumer space, informed Ahluwalia.

The company is currently on the lookout for a media agency.
