Commonwealth Games 2010 has called for a creative pitch. Thirteen agencies have been shortlisted for the pitch in India, which will work internationally as well as in India. Among the 13 shortlisted agencies are JWT and O&M. These agencies were shortlisted on basis of a tender which was floated two months’ back. The contract is for 3 years. The account size has been pegged upwards of Rs 100 crore.
The first round of presentation is slated for next week. The agencies will have to work on revamping the image of India, which includes designing the logo, brochures and creating communication hype in Delhi, where the Commonwealth Games 2010 would be held. It is a 360-degree account which will include print, TVC, outdoors, the Internet as well as below the line activities.
There will be three rounds of presentations, following which three or four agencies would be finally selected to do all communication for the Commonwealth Games 2010.
The Games would cover 17 disciplines – Aquatics, Athletics, Badminton, Boxing, Cycling, Gymnastics, Hockey, Lawn Bowling, Net Ball, Rugby, Shooting, Squash, Table-Tennis, Weightlifting, Tennis, Archery and wrestling – and are scheduled to be held from October 3-14, 2010 in Delhi.
