Coke working on second campaign based on ‘thanda matlab…’ theme

Coca-Cola India is working out a second campaign based on the same `thanda matlab... '' theme. The sequel to `thanda matlab Coca-Cola...'' will also feature Bollywood star Aamir Khan.

While details of the new commercial''s storyboard are not known, industry sources confirmed that the second `thanda matlab...'' campaign was very much on the cards.

The current commercial, created by ad agency McCann Erickson, was telecast on electronic media in March, and is directed by Ashutosh Gowariker.

Would arch rival Pepsi India take on Coca-Cola''s second such film. Pepsi had readied a repartee to Coca-Cola''s `thanda matlab...'' campaign in a record two days of the Coke ad breaking on television. Pepsi''s response to Coke''s campaign was in the form of a commercial featuring Bollywood stars Rahul Khanna and Fardeen Khan with a `business thanda matlab Cola-Cola...'' sign-off.
