CavinKare awards Fairever account to JWT, Euro bags Nyle

Chennai-based CavinKare Ltd. has awarded the advertising for the Fairever brand to JWT and the Nyle brand - comprising herbal shampoo, moisturising lotion and cold cream - to Euro RSCG. Euro already handles CavinKare's Meera soap account, and JWT has been working on some new projects with CavinKare.

Industry sources estimate the Fairever account to be worth about Rs 12 crore, and the Nyle shampoo account to be worth about Rs 3 crore.

Fairever has a more than 12 per cent share of the Rs 650-crore fairness cream market, and Nyle ranks as the fifth largest shampoo brand in the country. The company took so long to finalise the account shifts because these are "critical brands that are extremely important to the company," the spokesperson said.

CavinKare pulled the advertising for these two brands from long-time agency Fountainhead Communications, which handled the account for 10 years. The other agencies on CavinKare accounts are Ogilvy & Mather (Meera Shikakai) and Rubecon (Spinz talc).
