Carried Yesterday: Punitha Arumugam moves on from Google as Managing Director, APAC, Agency and Deals

Punitha Arumugam has exited her role from Google asManaging Director, APAC, Agency and Deals.

Arumugam joined Google in March 2012 as Director, Agency Business, she had exited Google in Nov 2014 and then re-joined the company in March 2015 as Director, Agency Business India and South East Asia

She leverages over 20 years of media experience and has won immense recognition for her media skills and body of work. In her earlier stint as Group CEO of Madison Media, Arumugam brought glory to her agency, growing it from a billing of USD 50 million in 2000 to USD 675 million in 2012, making it the second largest media agency in India.

Arumugam led the intellectual think-tank in her agency to develop tools that differentiate Madison Media in the Indian marketplace. She led Madison’s repositioning last in 2011, aimed at reconstructing the role that media agencies play in a client’s life.

Arumugam could not be reached for a comment at the time of filing this report.
