Capital bags Escotel’s ad account

Capital Advertising, Delhi has bagged Escotel, the Escorts group-promoted cellular service provider account from Enterprise Nexus. The agency, which was earlier handling the post-paid (cellular) business account, will now work on the pre-paid business as well. According to industry sources the account is worth Rs 10-12 crore.

Escotel operates the pre-paid account under two sub-brands — V-Tel in the north and Let’sTalk in the south.

Escotel operates in Kerala, West Uttar Pradesh and Haryana. In most of the markets, the company has a share of over 55 per cent.

The Escotel brand is also poised to enter Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan and Eastern Uttar Pradesh.

Capital Advertising has witnessed 50 per cent organic growth and its billings are likely to touch Rs 50 crore by end-March.

The agency is looking at becoming a Rs 70 crore company by end-2002. Recently, the agency won the LG refrigerator and washing machine accounts.
