Cannes Lions 2011: O&M’s ‘Train’ chugs away with 1 Film Craft shortlist

Ogilvy & Mather’s work titled ‘Train’, created for Ministry of Railways, has made it to the shortlist of Film Craft Lions. This is the only entry shortlisted from India out of the total of 33 entries submitted under this category.

Film Craft Lions, a category that was introduced in the Festival last year, honours the craft of the filmmaking process - whether direction, copywriting or editing, skilful use of music or sound design. It has got a total of 1,322 entries from 46 countries this year. There has been a 19 per cent increase in the number of entries received this year as compared to 2010. Out of 1,322 entries, 33 entries are from India. The category had 29 entries from India in 2010.

Keith Rose, Director, Velocity Films is the Jury President and Prasoon Pandey, ad filmmaker, Corcoise Films, is the jury person from India this year.

The winners of Film Craft Lions will be announced on June 25, 2011. The Film Craft trophies will be presented during the Film, Film Craft, Creative Effectiveness and Titanium and Integrated Awards Ceremony, which will take place on Saturday evening June 25 in the Grand Auditorium, Palais des Festivals.
