Cannes Lions 2011: Mudra leads Design Lions with six shortlists

In Design Lions 2011, 12 Indian entries have made it to the shortlist. Mudra Communications leads the chart with six entries. TapRoot India, TBWA\India, Ogilvy & Mather India, Sorento Healhcare, Out of Box and Happy Creative Services have one entry each in the shortlist.

For Posters, Mudra Communications has two shortlists for Loving hands Ministry and PE Electronics. In the Flyers, Tickets, Invitations, Postcards, Christmas and Other Greetings Cards subcategory, Mudra has one shortlist for Lass Natural Cosmetics. The agency has two shortlists for Loving Hands Ministry in Illustration subcategory. And another shortlist in the Self Promotion subcategory.

TBWA India has one shortlist for Calendar.

In Logo Design, Taproot India has a shortlist for Audio Stock Bank.

In Self Promotion Category, Ogilvy &Mather India has a shortlist for Acupressure Treatment.

In the Publications & Business Communications subcategory, Out of the box has been shortlisted for its work on Preschool.

In the Illustration category, Sorento Healthcare has been shortlisted for Osteoarthritis Therapy.

In the Premium Brand category, Happy Creative Services has been shortlisted for Lee Shopping Bag.

Launched in 2008, Design Lions celebrates the creative and use of design as a lever to influence consumers and its use as an aid to the communication of brand and product messages. Based on four criteria, entries will be awarded for their creativity, originality, execution and the level of consumer engagement.

The Design Lions trophies will be presented during the Cyber, Press and Design Lions Awards Ceremony, which will take place on Wednesday June 22, 2011 in the Grand Auditorium, Palais des Festivals. In comparison to the 89 entries from India last year, this year 139 pieces of work would be competing from India. There is an increase in the overall entries from 1297 to 1774 this year. Luciano Deos, President, GAD’ Design and there is no jury person from India.
