Keeping alive India’s further Lions hopes, Mudra Communications and JWT India have found place in the Film Lions shortlist.
With this, JWT India has opened its Cannes account, bagging its first shortlist this year, courtesy its work for Bharti Airtel, titled ‘Endless Good bye’, in the Commercial Public Services subcategory.
The second shortlist is for Mudra Communications, once again for its ‘Silent Anthem’ for Reliance Media Works, in the Corporate Image subcategory.
Tony Granger, Global Chief Creative Officer, Y&R, is the Jury President for the Film Lions, and Malvika Mehra, National Creative Director, Grey India, is the jury person from India.
Compared to the 58 entries from India last year, this year 61 pieces are competing from India. There is an increase in the overall entries from 3,191 to 3,310 this year.
Introduced in 1954, the Film category launched the Festival and offers experts from the world of advertising the opportunity to promote themselves by showing their best and most original creative work.
The Film trophies will be presented during the Film, Film Craft, Creative Effectiveness and Titanium & Integrated Awards Ceremony, which will take place on Saturday, June 25, 2011 in the Grand Auditorium, Palais des Festivals.
