Cannes Lions 2011: McCann Worldgroup dominates India shortlists in Radio Lions
Cannes Lions 2011 has announced the shortlists for Radio Lions. Radio Lions has three pieces of work in all from India this year, and they are all from McCann Worldgroup.
Two pieces of work are for the agency’s work done for Onida in the Home Appliances, Furnishings, Electronics & Audio Visual.
The third entry is in the category Publications & Media for Radio Mirchi.
In comparison to the 35 entries from India last year, this year 78 pieces of work would be competing from India. There is an increase in the overall entries from 1235 to 1363 this year.
Eugene Cheong, Regional Executive Creative Director, Ogilvy & Mather Asia Pacific is the Jury President and Nitesh Tiwari Executive Creative Director Leo Burnett is the jury member from India for this category.
Launched in 2005, the Radio Lions competition honours the best international creative radio Advertising. The Radio Lions trophies will be presented during the Media, Outdoor and Radio Lions Awards Ceremony, which will take place on Tuesday June 21.
