Cannes Lions 2009: Y&R presents Roger Daltrey and Harvey Goldsmith

Y&R’s Global Chairman and CEO, Hamish McLennan, will be bringing to Cannes Lions 2009 Roger Daltrey and Harvey Goldsmith. The two music industry giants will talk on their on-stage to behind-the-scenes experiences. The seminar will take place at the Debussy auditorium of the Palais des Festivals in Cannes at 4 pm on June 25, 2009.

The two will talk about their careers – tales of resisting the usual – supergroups, the change in music and the music business, using music to build brands, and how they have leveraged their art to do well in the world.

The iconic frontman of The Who to his solo efforts, from his acting triumphs to his philanthropic roles, Daltrey remains one of rock ’n roll’s most enduring and exciting artists.

Goldsmith is one of the music industry’s top impresarios. He has worked with The Who, The Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen and Sting, to name just a few. He created Live Aid with Bob Geldof, produced the Princes Trust Rock Galas and the first Teenage Cancer Trust event at Royal Albert Hall with The Who.
