Brooke Bond 3 Roses bid to get into Guinness, Limca

Brooke Bond 3 Roses is now attempting to set records of the non-sales kind. Come Pongal day, and it will bring together a number of families to cook 1,500 kg of sweet pongal and draw the largest kolam covering an area of 2,400 sq. ft. to create Guinness and Limca records.

Addressing a press conference here, a spokesperson for Hindustan Lever Ltd (HLL) said the brand's current `Happy Pongal Offer' would culminate in this event where the grand-prize-winning families would participate. This event is being held only in Chennai. Tamil Nadu is the largest market for the 3 Roses brand of tea.

The `Happy Pongal Offer' comes with the purchase of 3 Roses' 250 gm and 100 gm packs designed specially for the festival. The prizes include gold jewellery and vouchers for clothes. On all special packs, consumers can avail themselves of a 15 per cent discount on clothing at Bombay Dyeing stores. The grand prize is restricted to 25 packs and includes participation in the record-setting event, individual interaction with film star Khushboo and other fun activities on that day, said the spokesperson.
