Britannia Industries Ltd (BIL), which had started reviewing its Rs 40-crore creative business in November, 2005, has decided to divide its creative duties between long-time companion Lowe and McCann Erickson.
Though the company officials as well as the agency honchos are extremely tight lipped about divulging details, Richa Arora, Head-Marketing, Britannia Industries, said, “We haven’t yet decided on the brands, that will take time. But yes, I can confirm that McCann will also be our creative agency along with Lowe.”
Lowe, which has been handling the Britannia business for 15 years, will continue to work on the strong brands that it has done wonders for.
Commenting on the development, McCann Erickson’s Prasoon Joshi said, “I am very happy and excited to have got the Britannia account. It is indeed is a very prestigious business and I am looking forward to starting work on it.”
