Bombay Ad Club completes 50 years in August 2004 and the Club has plans to celebrate the golden jubilee on August 21. Anil Ambani, Vice Chairman and MD, Reliance Industries will be the Chief Guest and will deliver the key not address, sharing his views on the important role advertising can play in the growth of the Indian economy.
As part of the occasion, there will be a performance by the jazz percussionist Trilok Gurtu. The Club has announced an advertising contest for agencies and advertising professionals on creating advertising about advertising. The winners will be awarded at the function.
Speaking more on what is planned, MG Parameswaran, President, Bombay Ad Club, says, “The Club is an institution that has grown in size and stature over the last five decades. This celebration is but an occasion to get together, to remember the role played by the Club in helping raise advertising standards and thank the people who have helped the club carve a difference.”
The Club is also planning to host special events as part of the 50-year’s celebration in the area of training and development.
Bombay Ad Club constitutes of 2000 members drawn from media houses, marketing organisations, advertising agencies and allied professional bodies. The Club is famed for its annual awards to reckon the best talent from the fields advertising creativity and media.
