BlackBerry signs on Ranbir Kapoor

Research In Motion (RIM) has roped in actor Ranbir Kapoor as its brand ambassador in India. As part of this engagement, Kapoor will endorse BlackBerry products across various platforms and will also feature in upcoming multimedia ad campaigns in India.

Commenting on the development, Sunil Dutt, Managing Director, Research in Motion (India) said, “We are excited to announce Ranbir Kapoor as our first brand ambassador in India. Ranbir truly personifies all the attributes that we endeavour to offer to our customers – enthusiasm, exuberance, persistence, excellence, fun, youthfulness, innovation and connecting with people, and we recognise this great synergy between us. Moreover, we admire the fact that he is not only the face of contemporary Indian Cinema, but he is also someone who represents the ideal source of inspiration for the youth of the current generation.”

Known for his unconventional roles, Kapoor is also widely known as a tech savvy star. Speaking on the association, Kapoor said, “BlackBerry is known for its unique and powerful communication experience; an experience that I have relied on over years to stay informed and connected to things that matter so closely to me while on the move.”

The group released the Little Hearts online-only campaign, #BreakSomeHearts, early this year and is on the path to make many more of its brands available on the digital platform
