BARC’s Top 10 Brands Across Genres list for the fifth week of 2017’s viewership and ad insertions data (January 28-February 3) saw Bharatiya Janata Party topping the chart with 11,563 insertions. It was followed by another interesting player i.e. Petroleum Conservation Research Association with 11,053 insertions. Meanwhile Hindustan Lever led the Top 10 Advertiser chart with 95,638 insertions.
The Top 10 Brands saw many entrants including Idea 4G, Vivo V5 Plus, Tide Plus, Dr. Ortho oil & capsule and All Out at third, fourth, seventh, eighth and ninth spots with 9144, 8157, 6227, 6066 and 5712 insertions respectively.
Vodafone Superhour, Horlicks and OLX.in slipped to fourth, sixth and tenth spots with 11,053, 7344 and 5613 insertions, respectively.
In the Top 10 Advertisers list, FMCG firm Hindustan Lever, Patanjali Ayurved and Reckitt Benckiser India continued to rein the top three spots with 95,638, 31,761 and 25,912 insertions, respectively.
Procter & Gamble, ITC Ltd and Super Cassettes Industries moved up to fourth, sixth and seventh spots with 21,079, 18,549 and 18,154 insertions respectively.
Smithkline Beecham held on to its fifth spot with 20,278 insertions.
Brooke Bond Lipton India Ltd and Cadbury India slipped to eighth and ninth spots with 16,968 and 16,107 insertions, respectively.
Colgate Palmolive India Limited was on the tenth spot with 15,423 insertions.
