The Department of Tourism, Government of Bihar seems aggressive on promoting ‘Blissful Bihar’ to national and international tourists, in a bid to promote tourism in the state. The department has empanelled creative, media and PR agencies to take forward the campaign with a keen focus on international promotions.
About 12 creative agencies have been empanelled for a period of two years. Some of the empanelled agencies are Span Communications, Lowe Lintas, Interads, Prabhatam Advertising, Percept D’Mark, Critique Advertising, Crayons, Sharad Advertising, Goldmine Advertising, TCP Advertising and Shruti Mass Communications.
Sources close to the development have confirmed the news to exchange4media. Though the size of the account could not be obtained at the time of filing this report, it is said to be substantial.
Media and PR agencies have also been empanelled as a part of the process.
A part of the brief demands creative agencies to conceptualise and design creatives mainly for national and international magazines. Agencies would now be required to provide a creative vision and strategy for taking forward the campaigns of Bihar Tourism.
The department had also invited technical bids from reputed media and PR agencies with at least 10 years experience in handling medium and large business houses on major national / international campaigns, especially for niche products in the tourism / hospitality industry for complete seamless 360 degree solutions through strategic media planning.
