Big Bang 2012 Awards: Agencies celebrate wins

The Ad Club Bangalore announced the winners of the Big Bang 2012 Awards on September 21 from among 1,000 entries received.

Stark Communications was declared Agency of the Year, while Maxus bagged the Media Agency of the Year Awards. Titan Industries walked away with the Client of the Year Award.

Reacting to the wins, the Stark Communications team said, “We are starkly different and we believe in teamwork as we are a close knit group rather than the corporate type. We are happy that we have got three major awards apart from wins in other categories. We really did not expect this win, but our teamwork paid off for us.” Both, Art Director of the Year and Copy Writer of the Year Awards were pocketed by Stark Communications.

The Award for Ad Club Media Campaign of the Year was pocketed by Maxus, while Titan Industries won the Ayaz Peerbhoy Multimedia Campaign of the Year Award for its TS campaign.

A Maxus team member said after the huge haul of metals, “It’s an excellent feeling getting awards in almost all the categories. We did expect this and the best part is that we have won the Media Agency of the Year Award for the fourth time. Our hard work and the teamwork have paved the way for this. We expect to get more awards next year.”

DDB Mudra Max and DDB Mudra won big in categories such as Campaign, Others, Media Innovation and so on. Team Mudra Group told exchange4media, “Our tally is 25 metals. We had to let go of some categories but the categories where we were present in, we have managed to get 80 per cent of wins. We missed out on the Media Agency of the Year Award, but are hoping to bag it next year. All in all, it’s a great feeling.”

Team DDB Mudra Max added here, “Thanks to DDB for giving us the opportunity to work here and we have proved it. We were not expecting to win in some of the categories that we have won in, but in some categories we were pretty sure. We hope to get more wins next year.”
