After a multi-agency creative pitch, BEI Confluence has won the Nok Air business. The account size is estimated to be Rs 12 crore. Nok Air is a low budget airline based in Bangkok and is a subsidiary of Thai Airways. The airline is launching its operations in India on May 31. The first flight will be from Bangkok to Bangalore.
Commenting on the win, Devraj Basu, COO, BEI Confluence, said, “We are very happy to win the business. We are working on the strategy, creative work, branding and the airline’s launch in India.”
Basu added that creative plan for Nok Air would be a 360-degree one. The print campaign will break in the local newspapers in Bangalore by the second week of this month, while outdoor hoardings too will be put in the city. Local radio channels too will be targeted, while the campaign on Internet too will be visible from the second week of this month. The TVC will be followed at a later stage.
Rajiv Bhatia, GM Marketing India, Nok Air, said, “The reason we roped in BEI Confluence was that they were quite in line with our thinking. They could come in with good strategic and creative thinking, compared to other creative agencies.”
Nok Air was established in December 2003 and started its operations on July 23, 2004. It is a joint-partnership of more than eight partners.
