Bates wins back creative duties for ABP Group’s Bengali magazines

Close on the heels of winning the Agency of the Year (Kolkata) at the Calcutta Ad Club’s Consumer Connect Awards 2008, Bates David Kolkata has won the creative duties for ABP Group’s Bengali magazines, which were hitherto with Response Kolkata. The account moved back to Bates David’s fold from April 1, 2008.

Bates David will handle all the seven magazines of the Group that include ‘Desh’, ‘Boeir Desh’, ‘Sananda’, ‘Anandalok’, ‘Anandamela’, ‘Unish Kuri’ and ‘Unish Kuri Career’.

Bates has been handling ABP Group’s magazines since their inception and, in some cases, for decades in its Clarion avatar.

Comenting on the development, Abeer Chakravarty, Senior VP, Bates Kolkata, said, “Bates’ hallmark is its focus on local cultures, be it in India, China or elsewhere in the Asia Pacific region.
