Bajaj Auto has finally decided to rest all duties with one agency, Insight, a part of Lintas Media Group. The account size is worth Rs 140 crore. Bajaj Auto officials, confirming the development, explained that with this move, Insight will take care of both planning and buying for the print and television mediums for all Bajaj Auto products.
Lintas Media Group is obviously elated with the development. Said Lynn de Souza, Director, Lintas Media Group, "Nothing can be more gratifying than being able to grow our business through larger confidence shown by existing clients. Insight President Raj Gupta added, "We are elated with the confidence shown by our clients to extend our relationship further."
The client had called for a pitch for the entire account in January 2005. However, in February, it took the unusual decision of consolidating only one product, Bajaj Discover, with Insight. The rest of the business continued to be divided between Insight and MindShare handling print and television respectively. The pitch for Discover had also seen participation from Starcom, apart from these agencies.
