Anupriya Acharya officially takes charge as ZO Group CEO

Acharya has officially taken charge as the Group CEO of ZenithOptimedia. exchange4media had reported the development on July 1, 2013 Anupriya Acharya to join ZO as Group CEO

Acharya will assume responsibility of all the network’s companies in the country. Reporting to Gerry Boyle, Chairman Asia-Pacific, ZenithOptimedia, she will divide her time between the Group’s offices in Delhi and Mumbai.

She will have overall responsibility for the Group’s four leading businesses in India: ZenithOptimedia, Resultrix (performance marketing), Ninah (analytics) and Newcast (branded content).

“We are absolutely delighted to have someone of Anupriya’s calibre and reputation heading up the ZenithOptimedia Group in India. Her skills and expertise in leading media businesses will be invaluable as we seek to deliver on our ambitious growth plans in India,” said Boyle.

In her new role, Acharya’s brief is to facilitate greater integration between the businesses and to drive growth across the Group. She will also take lead responsibility for the on-going development of ZenithOptimedia’s Live ROI approach in India. In order to deliver on ZenithOptimedia’s ambitious plans for India, she will work closely with the leaders of the Group’s four companies: Satyajit Sen, CEO, ZenithOptimedia; Gulrez Alam, Founder and Global COO, Resultrix; Nitesh Sahay of Ninah; and Navin Khemka of Newcast.

“I am really excited about joining ZenithOptimedia. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with such cutting-edge businesses, and so many leading brands. I believe there are many exciting opportunities ahead for the Group as we look to develop and grow our Live ROI proposition,” said Acharya.

Acharya’s last stint was as Leader, Client Leadership, South Asia at Mindshare Fulcrum. Prior to working at Mindshare, Acharya was CEO, Aegis Media, Singapore and before that was President, The Media Edge, India.

She has worked closely with many clients including HUL, Nokia, Colgate Palmolive, Parle Products, Reckitt Benckiser and Nestle.

Acharya was among IMPACT’s Top 50 Most Influential Women 2013. She was also part of the esteemed jury for IMPACT’s Top 30 Under 30.

She is a Post Graduate in Analytical Chemistry from IIT Roorkee.

The group released the Little Hearts online-only campaign, #BreakSomeHearts, early this year and is on the path to make many more of its brands available on the digital platform
