The AME Awards for Advertising and Marketing Effectiveness announced the winners for its 2008 competition today. Two Grand Trophies were awarded, as well as 10 Gold awards, 17 Silver and 24 Bronze awards. Twenty-nine entries also received Finalist Certificates. From India, JWT Mumbai is the only agency that has struck Gold for its De Beers Wedding Program, ‘Diamond Bride’.
JWT India has also bagged a Silver in the category of Guerrilla/ Alternative Media for Red Ribbon Express for client UNICEF India. The agency also featured in the Finalist list of AME Awards 2008 for Kellogg India and Lead India campaign of The Times of India in the categories of Foods and Media Promotion, respectively.
This year, Euro RSCG Zurich and ZenithOptimedia New York were awarded the Grand Trophies for Public Service and Not-For-Profit and Integrated Marketing categories, respectively.
The AME Awards for Advertising and Marketing Effectiveness is in its 14th year of honouring creativity and marketing worldwide. This year, it received entries from over 30 countries, spanning five continents. AME’s jury members selected award winners from 82 Finalists in this year’s competition, and judged each campaign on how well it had met its objectives in the category and its impact in the marketplace.
