Ambience Publicis bags Rs 35 cr Sansui account, Zenith Optimedia to handle media

There is more action coming from the Videocon stable. In the backdrop of the recent changes that the group has seen with the addition of new products, the creative and media custodians for its different brands are also changing. In the process, Sansui has moved its creative duties to Ambience Publicis from October 1. The ad spends of the Sansui business is worth Rs 35 crore. The incumbent on the account was Q:uadrant. The media business will be handled by ZenithOptimedia.

Sansui’s Director Marketing, Anil Khera, confirmed the development but offered no further comments. To put things in perspective, two months back, Videocon had divided its creative business among SSC&B Lintas, RK Swamy/BBDO and Ambience Publicis. The recent addition of Electrolux Kelvinator to the group’s fold has led to the need for aligning its various products/brands to different agencies. In the process, the group moved Toshiba from Q:uadrant to Enterprise. Now, Sansui has followed suit.

Ambience Publicis is elated with the development. Nakul Chopra, President, said, “The ground work done for the business is great and the challenge we have on hand is to help Sansui reach the high growth that it is capable of in the category. We are looking at doing great work for them and adding value to the brand.”
