Professionals from the fields of advertising, marketing and communication in Gujarat have come together to make a new a beginning and launch its very own ad club called ‘Brand Klub’, Ahmedabad. The purpose of Brand Klub is to build a platform and plan events to help its members improve their professional competencies, thereby raising the standard of advertising in the state.
Brand Klub plans activities like screening of ads / commercials, seminars, guest lectures, exhibitions, workshops, training programmes, advertising career counseling, brand quizzes, social programmes, etc, which were long awaited by the advertising fraternity in Gujarat.
The membership is open to corporates, brand and product managers, advertising agencies, electronic and print media, students, advertising institutes as well as entrepreneurs.
Said Sanjay Chakraborty, Founder Member of Brand Klub, “Gujarat has given the nation some great brands and hence, we feel it needs an organised platform that encourages advertising and marketing communication area to constantly update and enrich the advertising fraternity in Gujarat towards the betterment of communication at large. We always felt that there was vacuum in Gujarat for Brand Klub.”
Chakraborty added, “April 29, 2006 was a landmark day in the history of Ahmedabad’s advertising world. It was the day Brand Klub was formed and the first event of screening of best Indian advertising was organised at ICFAI Business School auditorium. Individuals from the corporate and academic areas were present and they were thrilled with the initiative. They showed their keen interest to provide their support, co-operation and participation in all forthcoming events.”
After a humble beginning with the screening of “Best of Indian Television Ads”, Brand Klub has its second event planned, “The Best of Indian Radio Ads”. In future, too, Brand Klub Ahmedabad intends to organise such fruitful events once a month.
