In keeping with the growing importance and the high growth potential of South East Asia, Aegis Media has expanded its network in the region by signing new affiliations with agencies in Pakistan, Bangladesh and Vietnam.

Commenting on this, Ashish Bhasin, Chairman India & CEO South East Asia, Aegis Media, said, “In order to provide a strong and comprehensive network to our current and prospective clients, it was imperative that we provided the best in the market services in important countries like Vietnam, Pakistan and Bangladesh. With this objective, we spent the past few months evaluating several potential partners and are happy to announce that the top agencies in each of these markets have agreed to be our partner.”

The new affiliates appointed by Aegis Media are Orient Advertising, a leading agency in Pakistan with over 55 years’ experience and led by CEO Mahmood Hashmi; Media Axis-MACOMM, a Bangladeshi agency headed by Rabeth Khan; and in Vietnam, VMC (Vietnam Marketing Center) with Lan Anh Nguyenat the helm.

“With nine markets now covered in South East Asia, Aegis Media in all probability has the most robust and quality network in this sub-region. We are very happy to welcome our new affiliates into the network and have no doubt that this will further strengthen our offer to regional and global clients,” added Bhasin.

“Our network has continued to expand significantly and we now cover 16 countries. This is a remarkable growth spurt and is due to the dedicated team we have in place and the sustained increase of new business in the region. We had a very successful year in 2008 and amongst other achievements, Aegis Media was named the No. 1 network in new business. These new affiliations will further improve our market presence,” said Patrick Stahle, Chairman & CEO Aegis Media Asia Pacific.
