Advertising Club of Madras elects new office bearers

Minitha Saxena of Interface Communications has been elected President of the Advertising Club of Madras. She succeeds V Kalidas of the Hindu. R Seshadri of Anugrah Madison will be the Vice President. The elections were held on April 29.

Speaking to exchange4media, the new President said, "There are already a lot of activities going on. Now, we'd like to focus on involving youngsters through multiple activities."

Among the planned activities of the club are Deadline, with topics shifting from fun to social issues, and Adhotsav, a funfest for the ad world to showcase its talents beyond advertising. A lot of time will also go into planning for the Chennai Ad Club's 50th Anniversary in 2006, she said.

The other office bearers are Ranju Kumar Mohan of Henkel Spic (Secretary), Ninan Thariyan of The Times of India (Joint Secretary), Ramamoorthi of Ogilvy & Mather (Treasurer), and the immediate past president, V Kalidas.


Kranti Gada joined the family business at Shemaroo in 2006 after a successful stint of over two years in marketing at Pepsi Co. She has been associated with the company for 12 years.
