Advertising Club Madras to celebrate Golden Jubilee with ‘Advertising Future Shock III’

Advertising Club Madras has some grand plans to celebrate its Golden Jubilee. This includes a two-day international convention – ‘Advertising Future Shock III’ – which will be held on January 21-22, 2007. The theme of the conference is ‘ Integrated Communication – Disintegrating Agencies’.

The conference will provide an invigorating and meaningful debate with people like Kiran Khalap, Co-founder, Chlorophyll; Sujatha Kesavan, MD, Ray+Kesavan; Sam Balsara, Chairman and Managing Director, Madison Communication; V Ramani, Vice-Chairman, Connectturf; and Leena Basurur, Managing Director, DIREM, presenting their experiences and views.

Asit Mehra, Excutive Vice-President, Omnicom Group Inc, will deliver the keynote address on the first day. Dr Jagdish Sheth, Professor of Marketing, University of Emory, USA, will deliver the opening address.

Vijay K Xavier, Conference Convenor and Associate Vice-President, Lowe, said, “We are expecting more than 200 delegates from all over India for the conference.”

Ranju Kumar Mohan, President, Advertising Club Madras and Vice-President (marketing and sales), Henkel India Ltd, and Bimal Nair, Secretary, Advertising Club Madras and Vice-President, Contract Advertising, said, “A commemorative volume tracing the history of Advertising Club Madras and the history of the advertising industry in South India will be released on the occasion.”

The past presidents of the Club would be honoured on the final day of the conference.
