AdAsia09 to celebrate India Nite on October 24

India Nite will be celebrated at AdAsia 2009 in Kuala Lumpur on October 24. The highlight of the celebrations would be the showcase of India’s capabilities in the field of advertising, Indian traditions and entertainment programmes from different regions of India, including Bollywood. Raj Nayak, CEO, NDTV Media will be the head of the Indian delegation.

In a prepared statement, Madhukar Kamath, President, Advertising Agencies Association of India & Chairman Organising Committee, AdAsia11, said that with the next Congress scheduled to be held in New Delhi, the evening would be an opportunity to showcase the theme to and invite delegates to come to India. He further said that the Advertising Council of India had commenced its planning to host the event in 2011 at New Delhi, which would have a great infrastructure for a world class congress after the Commonwealth Games in 2010.

“India has made tremendous progress in advertising and media in the last couple of years, and AdAsia09 will be a great opportunity for all advertising/ media professionals to learn from the progress made by different countries in the advertising profession,” said Raj Nayak.

With only 10 days to go for the Congress, the Advertising Club Mumbai has made arrangements for registration and also worked out special discounted travel packages for individuals and corporates to be able to travel and participate in AdAsia09, Kuala Lumpur.
