Ad Club Bangalore receives 900 entries for Big Bang Awards 2013

The Big Bang Awards, organized by The Ad Club Bangalore, has received around 900 entries for the 2013 edition. The awards ceremony will be held on September 20, 2013.

In keeping with the global trend, the Big Bang Awards has gone fully online this year. The Bangalore Ad Club has tied up with Global Best Awards, USA, to take the Big Bang Awards online.

Malavika Harita, President, The Ad Club Bangalore said, “It is commendable, because agencies welcomed the Awards going online and have supported the move wholeheartedly.”

She further said, “We have roped in over 40 very senior communications professionals on our Jury panel from various cities to judge the top quality entries. In the future, we have plans to look at professionals from overseas to judge our entries.”

Arvind Kumar, Executive Director, Advertising Club Bangalore added here, “Many ad agencies and creative hot shops across the country have taken part in the Big Bang Awards, and we believe going online helped us in reaching out to them more effectively. We are overwhelmed by the response received thus far for the Big Bang Awards and we appreciate the contribution by Global Best Awards.”

The Advertising Club Bangalore was established in 1978 to promote, improve, develop and further the science and art of advertising, marketing and allied fields and afford opportunities to persons in the field to know one another socially. The objectives are also to secure for advertising, marketing and allied activities the recognition and respect it deserves from the public, the advertiser, the publisher and the Government and to represent the advertising and marketing fraternity. As part of its activities, the club organises regular events, seminars, workshops, quizzes, lectures and the annual awards function, Big Bang Awards.
