The Advertising Club, Bangalore announced the results of the Big Bang 2011 awards for excellence in communications & media on June 3, 2011. The awards were handed out to the winners at ceremony held at the Bangalore Palace Grounds. Stark Communications, Maxus and Tanishq have been key winners this year.
The Big Bang award for the Ad Agency of the Year went to Stark Communications. The agency also bagged a total of five gold metals for its work on Malayala Manorama, Radio Mango and Karnataka Tourism.
The Big Bang award for the Media Agency of the Year was bagged by Maxus India. Maxus bagged a total of seven gold metals for its clients Vodafone, Nokia India, Kerala Tourism and Perfetti Van Melle.
Tanishq from Titan Industries bagged the Big Bang award for the Client of the Year and the Ayaz Peerbhoy Multimedia Campaign of the Year for a creative agency. The Ad Club Media Campaign of the Year was bagged by Mindshare for its work on HUL. The Young Achiever Award of the year was bagged by Vishal K Vinekar, JWT India. Jaison Antony of Stark Communications bagged the Art Director of the Year while Nikhil Narayanan from Mudra Communications and Seetha Jayakumar from Stark Communications bagged the Art Director of the Year.
Prateek Srivastava, President, The Advertising Club, Bangalore said, ““I would like to congratulate the winners of the Big Bang 2011. The competition was keenly contested, and I am extremely happy with the results, all of who were most deserving.”
This year, a total of 960 entries were received across 74 categories at the Big Bang 2011 awards. The jury involved 24 senior with representation from creative, account management, digital, media, PR, healthcare and clients decided the awardees. This year three new categories for Mobiles, PR and Healthcare had been added.
Entries were received from large, medium and small sized Creative Agencies, Media Agencies, Digital Agencies, Radio Stations, Event Companies, Film Production Houses and Healthcare agencies.
The Big Bang Awards were constituted over 20 years ago, bringing together agencies across the country to share their creative campaigns and network with creative geniuses.
