Abhijit Avasthi launches Sideways Consulting

Putting an end to numerous speculations on his new venture, former Ogilvy NCD Abhijit Avasthi has launched a creative problem solving outfit ‘Sideways Consulting’. Hiring for the outfit has already begun, confirms Avasthi.

“Conversations with clients across various disciplines are currently underway, mentoring new start-ups and the social sector along with brands, are the three verticals we are looking at now in terms of clients,”  said Avasthi.

Avasthi is also currently working with actor Aamir Khan along with the government of Maharashtra on a project in the villages to encourage people to adopt small water structures.

Avasthi expects Sideways Consulting to take on further momentum once he is back from the Cannes Lions Festival.

Avasthi has a background in engineering and began his advertising career in 1997  at Enterprise Nexus  as a trainee writer which he quit after a stint of two years as senior writer and went on to join Ogilvy as Creative Supervisor. He was then made Creative Director in 2002; and in 2005, he was elevated as Group Creative Director. Perfetti, Cadbury, Asian Paints, Bajaj, Motorola, Coca Cola were some of the clients he worked on as Group Creative Director.
